Water Main Cleaning & Lining Project Public Meeting Announcement
A public meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 6:00-7:30pm at the Linthicum Library.
During the meeting, DPW will discuss plans for relining the water mains from Georgia Avenue NW to Thelma Ave. These mains, which were constructed in the 1920’s to 1950’s, have required repairs. Relining them will provide many additional years of useful life for the system, reducing the chance of future breaks, and improving the water quality and pressure. We anticipate reduced traffic flow and closed lanes during construction, but do not expect any full road closures. Temporary water service will be provided during construction, which is expected to begin at the end of April 2023 and be completed approximately February 2024.
