Summer Camps

Our day camps are an exciting, safe, and affordable option for summer fun. Campers get outside and have lots of summer enjoyment.

The Department of Recreation and Parks offers summer day camps for all ages throughout Anne Arundel County. 

Check out the Program Guide to discover our summer programs for kids. Summer Fun Center Camps are filled with fun and excitement for school-age children (page 29), and Summer Day Camp at Quiet Waters (page 30) is for kids entering grades K-6. Action-packed Teens on the Go! (page 33) offers those entering grades 7 through 10 motion-filled activities and field trips to several amusement parks. Specialty Camps, including the New Logic Marine Science camp (page 34), plus our popular Abrakadoodle Art Programs (pages 36-37), the amazing Adventure Summer Camps at Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary (page 38), and Summer Dance Camps (page 39), provide numerous options to fill in the summer calendar.


How to Create an Account:

  • Go to Recreation and Parks Registration Portal 
  • Select “Join” under the “Sign In” button
  • Enter a valid email address as the primary account holder
  • Do NOT use your child’s name as the primary account holder
    • You will add your child(ren) or other family members after your information is completed.
  • Follow the prompts to fill out your information. 
  • If prompted, your address is invalid. Use the recommended address format. 
  • Your sign-in will be the valid email address and password that you choose. 
  • Once you’ve completed all the required information for your account, submit the form and check your email for an account activation email. 
  • Click the activation link in your email to activate your account 
    • You cannot access your account without this step!

How to add Family Members to Account:

  • Go to Recreation and Parks Registration Portal 
  • Log in to your account. 
  • On the right side of the page, under “Balance”, locate “Lastname’s family.” 
  • Under “Lastname’s family”, select “Manage Family Member.” 
  • In the gray banner, select “+ Add family member.” 
  • Provide the required information for your family member and submit the form 
  • If a family member is a child and does not have an email, please use your email address rather than a made-up email 
    • Important messages regarding registered programs will be sent to the email submitted

HOT TIP: Create a “Wish List” ❤︎ in your account to be ready for Registration Day

  • Go to Recreation and Parks Registration Portal 
  • Log in to your account.
  • Select “Activities” in the top blue bar of your account page (desktop) or the “Activities” box under “Join the Fun!” on our website (mobile).
  • Browse the available programs or use the search bar to look up specific programs or topics.
  • To review more details about each program, select the blue program title
  • If you wish to enroll, select the blue “Enroll Now” link
  • Use the drop-down menu to select the participant, then select “Add to cart.”
  • You may go back to the list of Activities to enroll in multiple programs.
  • When finished, select the shopping cart.
  • Read the Waiver and select the check box.
  • Select “Check out” to complete your enrollment.
  • Follow the prompts to pay with a credit card.
  • You will receive a confirmation email shortly after payment has been processed.
  • Stay tuned for emails regarding camp forms that must be completed before camp starts!

How to make a Wish List:

  • When browsing programs, you will see to the right of the program name, under the price and “Enroll Now” link, there is a heart icon ❤︎.
  • When the heart is selected, a pop-up window with a drop-down menu will appear, asking you to select which participant you would like to enroll in that program (this step is optional but convenient for organizing).
  • The heart will turn red when the program is added to your Wish List.
  • Access your Wish List at the top of the page, between “My Account” and “Sign Out” or at the bottom of your profile page.
  • When registration is open, and you are ready to enroll, go to your Wish List and select “Enroll Now.”
  • Follow the registration instructions above.

REGISTER FOR A CAMP PROGRAM


Explore some of our summer camp programs in more detail by clicking on the tabs below. You will find the camp calendars and other related information here.

Filled with Fun and Excitement for School-Age Children (Grades 1-6)

The fun at each location is planned around a variety of themes. Daily activities include sports, arts and crafts, and action-packed indoor and outdoor activities, special events and field trips. Field trip fees are included in the registration fee. Hours are Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm, with extended care hours from 3:30 – 6:00pm. Lunch period is supervised, but children are required to provide their own food and drink. Refrigeration is not available. Children must be toilet trained and bus transportation is not provided.

600 Quiet Waters Park Road, Annapolis

Quiet Waters Day Camp is a full-day, OUTDOOR, camp for children entering grades K-6. Activities may include arts and crafts, nature, sports, music and drama, active games, field trips, special theme days, and MORE! Extended hours as well as bus transportation are offered for an additional charge—no camp on July 3rd for Independence Day.

Additional information will be distributed in June.

2026 Camp Information


All policies and procedures in the Parent Handbook apply to Quiet Waters Day Camp. See Parent Handbook (bottom of this page) page 24 for Quiet Waters specific information. Additional information will be given at the Open House on June 15th and 17, 2026 from 4:30-6:30pm at the Red Maple Comfort Station.

One-Week Sessions, Campers Entering Grades 7-10 from 8:30am - 4:30pm

Teens on the Go! Camps are action-packed ... with most days on the go. Teens enjoy activities such as skating, golfing, swimming, bowling, and more. Field trips may include Jolly Rogers, Busch Gardens, and Water Country. Due to the nature of some field trips and activities, drop-off times may be earlier, and pickup times may be later than the times listed. No camp Friday, July 3, 2026 for Independence Day. Crofton Teen Camp, Annapolis Teen Camp, and North County Teen Camp location TBD on 6/22 and 6/23. More information will follow.

The Teens on the Go! Camps are located at the following sites: 

  • Crofton Teen Camp at Crofton Elementary School, 1405 Duke of Kent Drive, Crofton, MD (Tentative)
  • Annapolis Teen Camp at Germantown Elementary School , 200 Windell Ave, Annapolis, MD (Tentative)
  • North County Teen Camp at Glen Burnie Park Elementary School, 500 Marlboro Road, Glen Burnie, MD (Tentative)
  • Severna Park Teen Camp at Kinder Farm Park, 1001 Kinder Farm Park Road, Millersville, MD

2026 Camp Calendar

Our aquatics week-long camps include outside activities, games, crafts, swimming and a weekly field trip. Participants must bring a lunch, snack and drink each day. Campers will need a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and athletic style shoes. Monday-Friday, 7:45am-5:00pm. No camp Friday, July 3, 2026 for Independence Day
