Annapolis, MD (September 25, 2019) - The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities is pleased to announce three (3) upcoming Caregiver Educational Workshops.
On October 10, 2019, from 1:00-3:00 pm, Mary Chaput, M.A., Compassionate Touch Coach and Practitioner, will present a session on "Compassionate Touch". Miki Firor M.S., Gerontologist, will present "The Different Types of Dementia" on October 24, 2019 from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Pascal Senior Activity Center. A limited number of spaces are available for the October 17, 2019, from 6:30-8:30 pm "Dementia Live" workshop. This workshop is a high impact, dementia simulation experience that immerses participants into life with dementia, resulting in a deeper understanding of what it's like to live with cognitive impairment and sensory change. The workshop will be held at the Department of Aging & Disabilities North County office located at 7320 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
