Assault/Handgun Violation - Severn

On May 1, 2024, at approximately 4:49 p.m., officers from Western District responded to the area of Fairbrook Court in Severn for a suspicious person with a weapon. Officers spoke with the juvenile male victim, who indicated he was walking in the park between Fairbrook Court and Briarview Court when two juvenile male suspects approached him. One suspect was armed with a handgun and both suspects chased after the victim. A second male juvenile victim reported a similar incident in the same area. Western District Detectives began investigating and were able to positively identify the juvenile suspect armed with the handgun. On May 2, 2024, a search warrant was conducted at the suspect's residence and the weapon used was located. The suspect was charged accordingly.
