The Nonprofit Center’s (NPC) mission is to provide capacity-building support to 501(c)(3) nonprofits whose work advances the health and wellness of county residents. As part of this mission, the NPC has partnered with Anne Arundel County Real Estate Division to offer meeting and small event spaces at 41 Community Place, in Crownsville, for use by local nonprofit organizations free of charge.
The use of space requires the Application for Short-Term Use (available soon) and is subject to the Use of County Space License Agreement and the NPC's Facility Rules and Regulations. When space is not being used by the NPC, Resident Organizations with office space at the NPC will be prioritized followed by organizations requesting space during business hours.
Use of space after hours and on weekends is not available currently. Future availability is contingent upon FY2026 funding.
The Nonprofit Center is open Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for use by Anne Arundel County 501(c)(3) public charities for meetings and events. Use of space after hours and on weekends is not available currently. Future availability is contingent upon FY2026 funding.

For Resident Organizations (offices at the NPC)
Organizations with office space at the NPC (Resident Organizations) have scheduling priority and will receive specific instructions when they take on-site occupancy. Requests for Room 101 (A or B) must be submitted at least 6 months in advance to receive priority. A separate license agreement is not required for resident organizations.
Other 501(c)(3) Nonprofits
All other nonprofit organizations can submit requests for space using the Application for Short-Term Use form (available soon on the NPC website) no more than six (6) months in advance of the requested date. Organizations are encouraged to check availability with NPC staff prior to submitting an application. If an organization is unable to complete the online form, contact the NPC staff at NPC-space@aacounty.org or 410-222-6999 to request a fillable .pdf or paper copy.
A completed Use of County Space License Agreement must be signed by all parties prior to the event. The signature process may take up to fourteen (14) days, therefore requests should be submitted at least two weeks in advance. Organizations requesting recurring use of a space will only need to complete these documents every six months.
To provide an opportunity for all organizations to use the spaces:
- A nonprofit may only reserve space six (6) times in a 6-month period.
- Reservations are reviewed in the order in which completed applications and agreements are received.
- Organizations with two (2) “no-shows” in a calendar year will not be permitted further use for one (1) year.
To request space, please follow these steps:
- Review the NPC Facility Rules and Regulations
- Check with the Nonprofit Center staff for room availability by calling 410-222-6999 or via email at NPC-Space@aacounty.org
- Complete the Application for Short-Term Use online (The application is not currently available)
- If approved, complete the License Agreement for Short-Term Use. This form must be signed by the organization’s Authorized Representative.
- Email the License Agreement to the Nonprofit Center.
The responsible party is defined as the person who signed the License Agreement for Short-Term Use, which must be the organization’s authorized representative. The authorized representative may assign a point of contact for the meeting or event but, as the responsible party, agrees to follow the rules set forth in the Nonprofit Center Facility Rules and Regulations document.
