Facility Upgrades
There are several capital projects to upgrade and improve the Annapolis WRF. These upgrades to aging infrastructure are being phased and sequenced to avoid treatment process disruption. For more information on these projects please visit the County’s Capital Improvement Project website.
Odor Control Project
The County acknowledges the close proximity of the existing plant to its surrounding neighbors. The County is conducting a comprehensive odor evaluation, including monitoring, data collection, data analysis, and air dispersion modeling to identify sources of odors and potential capital improvements needed to address them. The performance of existing odor control facilities are also being evaluated as part of that study. From this evaluation, a recommendation for upgrades or process changes will be provided.
A capital project has been created and the County has initiated the process of contracting a design engineer to proceed with the design of the recommendations once the odor evaluation is complete.
