(Glen Burnie, MD) - The month of September is recognized as National Preparedness Month, an annual opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of always being prepared for emergencies. Preeti Emrick, Director of the Office of Emergency Management, stated that “in an age of uncertainties, preparedness is our collective strength, we must all do our part to form a more resilient community.”
“Join us in commemorating National Preparedness Month and take the first step towards a safer and more resilient future for all,” Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman said. “By preparing ourselves, we can help reduce the negative impacts that disasters have on life, property, and businesses.”
Throughout this month, we will help our County prepare by hosting our Emergency Preparedness Expo, attending community events, giving preparedness presentations to community groups/organizations, and by sharing preparedness tips on our social media accounts.
