Anne Arundel County Government does not tolerate any form of harassment including, but not limited to, sexual, racial, disability and national origin harassment. All policies, programs, services and activities provided by Anne Arundel County shall be in conformity with the County, State and Federal laws on nondiscrimination including, but not limited to, the following: Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; the Equal Pay Act of 1963, the Age Discrimination Act, Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act; Title 20 of the State Government Annotated Code of Maryland; and the Anne Arundel County Code.

Public individuals expressing concerns, employees and applicants will not be subjected to harassment, intimidation, threats, coercion or discrimination because they have engaged in, or may have engaged in, activities such as filing a complaint, assisting or participating in an investigation, compliance review, hearing or opposing any act or practice made unlawful or exercising any other right protected by County, State or Federal law.
