Public Access Television

Public access television encourages the local community to produce programming that serves viewers with high production quality, diverse viewpoints and regular scheduling.

Anne Arundel Community Television (AACTV) public access provides a medium for individuals, organizations and educational institutions to communicate with the citizens of Anne Arundel County. AACTV is organized and operated by the Anne Arundel County Government.

Information to be posted on the Anne Arundel Community Television (AACTV) Public Access Bulletin Board must be submitted by email to aactv@aacounty.org.

  • Information will be posted as worded and scanned for things such as ticket prices, contests, etc. This information will be omitted upon posting.
  • JPEG graphic files must be submitted in a landscape orientation (horizontal). Files will be scanned for things such as ticket prices, contests, etc. Submitter will be contacted and asked to fix and resubmit the bulletin.
  • Bulletins about upcoming events MUST be submitted at least one month in advance of the date of the event. Anything less will not be posted. Bulletins will be pulled on the date of the event.
  • General information bulletins will be posted indefinitely, until submitter requests it to be removed or that changes be made to the bulletin.

As a community-minded television network, we encourage residents to submit their own content. Qualified submissions are eligible to air on one of our channels.

  • Programs may be submitted as SD or HD and must be submitted as a mpeg2, mp4 or mov file format delivered on a USB device.
  • New programs submitted will be viewed as soon as possible and screened for clear opening and closing sequences, audio quality and to make certain there is no advertising. If any of these problems arise submitters will be contacted and asked to fix and resubmit the program
  • Once program has been accepted a schedule will be discussed. All programs are given two airing times. Airing times may be the same day or on differing days of the week.
  • If a program is not received or if we are not contacted about the program after one month, the program that has been airing will be pulled. The slot is still yours unless we don't receive a program or we are not contacted after an additional month regardless of individual broadcast schedule.
