Lesson: “Friendly Firefighter”
Firefighters from the local fire station can be scheduled to visit classes. The objective of this visit is to re-enforce the importance of viewing firefighters as a “friendly community helper,” even though their protective gear may make them appear unfriendly. They must remain available for emergency calls and may have to leave during the thirty minute presentation or may not arrive at all. They will not be able to call to let you know they will not be there. If this happens, the Station will call you to re-schedule.
