The Nonprofit Center is a program of Anne Arundel County government that provides capacity-building services to local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that improve the lives of county residents.
The Nonprofit Center staff work at the Arundel Center in downtown Annapolis. Training programs are held virtually and at locations around the county. The Center’s future home is 41 Community Place at the Crownsville Hospital Memorial Park.
Renovations at 41 Community Place began in August 2024 and may take up to a year to complete. Subscribe to the NonprofitNEWS newsletter for updates.
All nonprofit organizations are welcome to access the resources available on the Nonprofit Center website and subscribe to the Nonprofit News newsletter. Training opportunities are currently for 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that are located in Anne Arundel County. If your organization is located outside of Anne Arundel County, but you provide services to a large number of Anne Arundel County residents, please contact the Center’s staff to discuss your needs.
Some training programs are open to all 501(c)(3) nonprofits located in Anne Arundel County. Smaller cohort programs require an application process. Because each program is different, and the Center aims to provide services to benefit a wide-range of nonprofit organizations, the criteria for each program will vary. Specific details are posted on the Professional Development Programs page as training opportunities become available.
At this time, all training opportunities are available free of charge. Nominal fees may be required in the future.
Individuals are welcome to access the resources available on the Nonprofit Center website and subscribe to the Nonprofit News newsletter. Individuals are also encouraged to check out the free resources at the Anne Arundel County public libraries. Workshops and other training opportunities are open to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
