The following park closures will be in effect for the 2024 Deer Management Season:

Brooklyn Heights Park Temporary Closure

Starting March 11, 2024, Brooklyn Height Park will be closed to the public through the Spring of 2025 for park improvement projects.

Change in Service

Dog Parks: Seasonal Update

The water has been turned off at all dog parks as part of winter preparations.  Water service will resume in Spring 2025.

Maryland Department of Natural Resources Enacts Statewide Burn Ban

Effective immediately, The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has imposed a statewide open air burning ban in Maryland as of November 1, 2024. This ban applies to all counties in the state and includes campfires and charcoal grilling. The ban will remain in place until the Maryland Forest Service determines that the state has received enough precipitation to reduce the threat of wildfires.
