The Anne Arundel County Police Special Operations Division provides a specialized police response for the department.

The Police Department was founded in 1937 by an act of the Maryland State Legislature, in recognition of the need for better and more consistent police services for the citizens of the county.

The Lula G. Scott Nutrition Center provides meals for seniors in the Shady Side area. The Nutrition Center is part of the Department of Aging and Disabilities.

Lake Waterford Park is located on the corner of Pasadena Road and Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard. This regional park has 108 acres of diverse recreational and natural areas.

The Office of Equity and Human Rights provides leadership in the development of policies, programs, and procedures that ensure compliance with federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws, and integrate diversity, access, and inclusion into county operations.  We are a partner and resource for all departments as they work to improve access and inclusion countywide.

Fire flow tests provide actual pressure and flow data measured at specific fire hydrants (FH) within the County’s water distribution system.
