Animal Matters Commission

The Animal Matters Commission consists of seven members. Members include a representative from the Police Department, the Health Department, a Veterinarian and four (4) citizen members.

Child Care

Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks offers a state-licensed child care program that provides a safe and supportive environment in accordance with the Maryland State Department of Education’s standards.

Clerk of the Court

The Clerk's Office provides both judicial and non-judicial services. Our judicial departments include Civil, Family, Juvenile, Criminal and Courtroom Clerks. Our non-judicial services include License (business & marriage), Land Records, Notary and Passport Services.

Circuit Court

The Circuit Court is the highest common law and equity court of record exercising original jurisdiction within Anne Arundel County. As trial courts of general jurisdiction, Circuit Courts have very broad jurisdiction, generally covering major civil cases and more serious criminal matters. Circuit Courts also may decide appeals from the District Court of Maryland and certain administrative agencies.

Downs Park

Situated on the Chesapeake Bay, Downs Park offers a variety of natural and recreational activities throughout its 236 acres. Downs Park offers more than five miles of paved and natural trails.

Anne Arundel County Trails

Anne Arundel County Trails is an extensive network of recreation and transportation trails that include the B&A Trail, BWI Trail, Broadneck Peninsula Trail, and WB&A Trail.

Kinder Farm Park

Kinder Farm Park in Millersville is a 288-acre park that offers a variety of natural and recreational activities including walking, biking, bird watching, fishing and picnicking.

Quiet Waters Park

Quiet Waters Park is situated between the South River and Harness Creek. Visitors can enjoy trails, playground, or picnic among 340 acres of beautiful park land.
