I had the pleasure of attending a tour to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Annapolis Symphony Academy, where I presented a council citation and got a sneak peek into the classrooms of these talented students.
I can say with certainty that every young musician who studies in this amazing program has been so positively impacted by music and the ability to grow their interest and passion.
ASA seeks to bring music opportunities to all students, especially those in underserved communities with limited access to lessons and group instrumental practices.
While my colleague and I aren't as versed in percussion as we are our own areas of musical study, we did enjoy the xylophone!
