A week ago, Superintendent Dr. Bedell met in Severna Park with families across the county to discuss how we address the issues every school district across the county faces. There’s one answer that won’t work - turning our heads.

And recently, he launched “Be Present” to increase interactions between the community and students in our schools.
As a mom of 3 school aged kids, some of my fondest memories have been being in their school, in their classroom, in the halls with all of those young people.
Having more adults “show up”, and more parents in the school, is a great initiative.
