Dear Neighbors and Residents,
Over 700 responses have been made on the BMX feasibility study since the survey became public just a few short weeks ago. The survey will remain open until April 14th. I have spoken with Recreation and Park and Department of Public Works over my frustration at the scope of what has been proposed and have been very clear that I will not support any project that would threaten existing youth athletic organizations. Maybe there is another location in the county that is ripe for this type of facility? If you agree, share that in your survey. If you agree to a modest track in the wooded area, and/or on the parking lot, as initially requested for Bay Head Park, share that too.
Acknowledging the need while opposing the plan could lead to a better solution for everyone. I am sharing the survey link here, for anyone who may not have submitted their thoughts.
