Burgers and Bands for Suicide Prevention Severna Park
Severna Park Taphouse On May 15th Burgers and Bands will have an all day concert series at Severna Park Taphouse.
Music is a great way to connect with people of all ages and this event provides an opportunity to have conversations with our young adults and teens.
It's ok to say you're not ok.
An entire day of music is dedicated to supporting our young people so that they know when and if they ever need help, there's a whole community who wants them to reach out for it.
Thank you to Burgers and Bands for organizing such an impactful event and for being a partner in mental health care and resources.
Our goal is to show people in our community that they are not alone in their struggles with mental illness. Burgers and Bands for Suicide Prevention represents hope for a light at the end of the tunnel.
The money raised at this event goes back into the schools and community for mental health initiatives. To date, we have provided peace walks, sensory walks, calming boxes, support groups, mental health training, mindfulness classes, and speakers for elementary, middle, and high schools throughout Anne Arundel County.
And still, the thing we are most proud of is the event itself. The number of parents we have spoken to who credit Burgers and Bands events for showing their children that it is okay to ask for help is astounding. We could not be more proud to be a part of this community event.
