The General Development Plan (GDP) or Plan2040 is the County's plan to guide land use for the next 20 years. All master plans and development regulations adopted by the County must be consistent with the goals, policies and recommendations of the GDP. The link provided below will take you to a website with overview information regarding the proposed Plan2040. This site also provides the ability to comment on the plan in general or comment regarding specific properties. This is a great opportunity to voice your priorities for future development in your community. The public comment period is open through September 10th. Please take some time to review the website and comment as well share this information with your neighbors and your community.
There are three Town Halls on the interactive website for Plan2040@Home. The August 17th Town Hall, being held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., will focus on regional areas 1, 2, and 3. The August 19th Town Hall, being held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., will focus on regional areas 4, 5, and 6. Finally, the August 20th Town Hall, being held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., will focus on regional areas 7, 8, and 9.
