I had the honor of presenting a Good Samaritan citation to Lucas Davis, 7th grader at Magothy River Middle School.
In December of last year, Lucas sprung into action when he came upon a fellow classmate experiencing a medical emergency in the hallway. He quickly dropped his belongings and rendered aid, directing those around him, while not leaving the side of his classmate until the nurse arrived.
We never know how we will react in an emergency, but I hope we can all respond like Lucas if we ever need to.
Magothy River Middle School is better for having you as an example for all of us.
