Anne Arundel County Announces Delayed Opening for Tuesday, January 4, 2022

Liberal leave and telework policies in effect; emergency and essential employees must report at usual times

Annapolis, MD (Jan. 3, 2022) Due to hazardous ice and snow conditions as a result of today’s winter storm, all Anne Arundel County government offices will delay the start of operations until 10:30am tomorrow, Jan. 4, 2022.

Telework eligible employees should continue to work remotely. Emergency and Essential employees must report for work at their usual times. County buildings will remain closed to the general public until 10:30am. Additional information will be provided once further assessments of road conditions are available.

Liberal leave and telework policies for county employees are also in effect tomorrow. Liberal leave allows employees to use unscheduled annual leave with the approval of their supervisor.  Employees who are scheduled to telework on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022, should do so and those eligible for telework may do so with the approval of their supervisor to ensure operational coverage.

Emergency and essential employees must report as scheduled.
