Weapon Offense/Shots Fired - Pasadena

On November 22, 2022, at approximately 9:30 p.m. officers responded for a report of shots being heard in the 1800 block of Bayside Beach Road in Pasadena. The complainant advised officers that they observed a silver station wagon or small SUV traveling west on Bayside Beach Road when they heard gunshots. The complainant believed the shots were coming from the vehicle's passenger side. During a canvas, officers located three spent shell casings on the roadway. No victims came forward indicating that the projectiles affected their property or themselves. Theft from Auto - Laurel

On November 22, 2022, at approximately 6:30 p.m. officers responded for a report of a theft from auto in the 200 block of Marganza South in Laurel. The victim advised officers that several thousand dollars of power tools were stolen. Upon reviewing security camera footage officers developed a suspect, a juvenile male whom they were familiar with from approximately nine prior incidents over the past eight weeks. A short time later officers were able to locate the juvenile suspect, who was arrested and charged accordingly.

Weapons Offense - Odenton

On November 23, 2022, at approximately 2:00 a.m. officers were on routine patrol in the area of June Drive and Monterey Avenue in Odenton due to increased complaints of drug activity taking place in the neighborhood. Officers observed an occupied vehicle that appeared to be filled with smoke. Upon approaching the vehicle officers detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers located a non-serialized semi-automatic handgun with one 16-round magazine and an additional 33-round magazine. Immediately upon locating the handgun one of the occupants fled on foot, whom officers apprehended a short distance away. Identifying items belonging to the suspect who fled were located in the backpack where the handgun was found. That suspect was arrested and charged accordingly. In addition to the handgun, officers found a civil amount of suspected marijuana and officers learned that a second occupant of the vehicle had an outstanding warrant for their arrest. That suspect was arrested on the outstanding warrant.
