Armed Subject - Glen Burnie

On October 15, 2022, at approximately 1:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of an armed male subject at the Rent-A-Wreck, 7352 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. When officers arrived, they learned that the suspect, whom witnesses described as a heavy-set black male, had fled in a Mercedes SUV. The SUV returned while officers were conducting their investigation. The female driver of the SUV informed officers that she had just dropped off her boyfriend at an address in Glen Burnie. Officers went on to learn that the suspect got into an argument with employees of the Rent-A-Wreck about a possible vehicle repair; during the argument, the suspect brandished a black semi-automatic handgun and threatened the victim. Charges against the suspect are pending upon positive identification.  Northern District detectives are investigating the incident and ask that anyone with information contact them at (410) 222-6135 or the Anne Arundel County Police Department Tip Line at (410) 222-4700.

Weapons Violation - Linthicum

On October 17, 2022, shortly after midnight, officers responded for a report of an armed subject at the Shell gas station, 463 Camp Meade Road North in Linthicum. A male and female were having an argument in the parking lot when the suspect intervened. When the victim told the suspect to mind his business, the suspect displayed the handle of a semi-automatic handgun.  The suspect was leaving the scene as officers were arriving. Officers stopped the vehicle and detained the driver, who was positively identified. Officers located a black/silver two-tone handgun on the side of the road near where the vehicle stopped. Investigation revealed that the handgun was reported stolen. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

Robbery (Citizen) - Glen Burnie

On October 16, 2022, at approximately 8:45 p.m., officers responded for a robbery of a citizen that had just occurred in the 200 block of Mountain Ridge Court in Glen Burnie. The victim had driven back to the Mr. Pizza and Subs, 344 Hospital Drive in Glen Burnie, where he met with officers. The victim informed officers that they were making a delivery on Mountain Ridge Court when an unknown male suspect approached him from behind and placed an unknown object into his back. The suspect demanded the victim’s property and punched the victim in his head. The victim fought back, and the suspect was able to wrestle away from the victim and flee. The victim noticed that the suspect had dropped a cell phone, which he recovered and turned over to officers. During their investigation, officers received a call at the Eastern District station from a subject that claimed he had tracked his phone to the station using the “Find my iPhone App”. The owner of the phone met detectives at the station and was subsequently interviewed. Weapons Offense/CDS Violation - Severn

On October 15, 2022, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for a registration violation in the area of Reece Road and New Disney Road in Sever. After activating their emergency equipment, the vehicle continued (non-evasive) to the intersection of Meade Village Road and Meade Village Circle, where both the driver and passenger bailed out of the vehicle. During the brief foot pursuit, the driver was observed discarding a black satchel and a black semi-automatic handgun. After apprehending the driver, officers were able to retrace the path of the foot pursuit. Officers recovered the black satchel, which contained approximately 150g of suspected marijuana and a loaded, non-serialized, black semi-automatic handgun. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly. The passenger was not located.

Theft/Weapons/CDS Violation - Laurel

On October 15, 2022, at approximately 7:50 p.m., officers responded for a report of a theft at the Target located at 3343 Corridor Marketplace in Laurel. A white male and white female stole merchandise from the store and fled in a gray Nissan.  Responding officers located the vehicle, a 2017 gray Nissan Rogue, and recovered $1700.00 in stolen merchandise. Further investigation resulted in the seizure of a loaded black semi-automatic handgun and approximately 38g of suspected CDS (possible cocaine or heroin). The suspects were arrested and charged accordingly.

Indecent Exposure/Lewd Conduct - Annapolis

On October 16, 2022, at approximately 4:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of indecent exposure at the Home Depot, 145 Defense Highway in Annapolis. Officers were alerted to a male subject inside a vehicle masturbating in the parking lot. Officers located the vehicle described by the complainant and made contact with the occupant. The complainant positively identified the sole occupant of the vehicle as the male subject observed masturbating in a public parking lot. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.
