The weather was perfect for a ride on the B&A Trail with Cycling Without Age, and founder Sandy Bishop.
An added bonus was an unexpected second passenger, John. We had a lovely conversation about a variety of issues and topics.
Cycling Without Age brings an outdoor social experience for the rider(s) and pilot. The program is having an enormous positive impact, bringing an experience to people who otherwise wouldn’t be able to ride around their surrounding trail or communities.
With support from our first partner senior care facility, Sunrise of Severna Park, and a tremendous response from the community, our volunteer team of over 2 dozen pilots (and growing) will begin giving rides to seniors on April 1st on the B&A Trail in Severna Park. Watch for news about our official kick-off celebration, 10:30 am on May 20th on the BikeAAA and Cycling Without Age Anne Arundel Facebook pages.
