Mike McCarthy has devoted his time and attention to the young athletes and families of the Green Hornets for 36 years.
On October 28, the last group of football players to call him “coach” were playing their final game with the organization.
It only seemed fitting to recognize Mike on the same day.
While it may be the end of an era, something tells me he won’t be far from the sidelines !
People like Mike McCarthy are why our community is such a wonderful place to live. I was so glad to be part of this recognition ceremony.
